What is Cordyline australis? Print

Cordyline australis is native to New Zealand and they will tolerate cool temperatures, the common name used is cabbage tree.  Cordyline australis can grow very large, if you don't want it getting to big you can cut it back in spring and this will encourage it to become bushier.  When planting it make sure you choose the right spot, once they're established in the ground they don't like to dug up and re-positioned.
