Characteristics

Dark green overlaid with a dark purplish maroon and edged with pink to red. The underside of the newer growth is flushed with red. The midrib is marked with red to dark maroon. The petioles are marked with red. In conditions of good light, the oldest leaves may turn red. The margins of the large arching leaves are slightly to broadly undulated. The tips turn down.
