Growing Requirements

Prefers a well-lit situation offering the plant protection from the hot sun.

Characteristics

Mid green to maroon (more maroon in good light) edged with red. In the cooler months the new growth is flushed with shades of soft to mid pink. The colour darkens as the leaves mature. The petioles are marked with pink to red. The margins of the rather narrow leaves are moderately to broadly undulated. Sections of the outer edges of some leaves may roll down while on other leaves they turn up slightly. The tips turn down.
