Growing Requirements

Prefers a well-lit situation offering the plant some protection from the hot sun.

Characteristics

Dark red to maroon, edged with red. In the cooler months, the new growth is flushed with bright red. The petioles are marked with red. The margins of the small to medium size, leathery leaves are slightly to broadly undulated. Sections of the outer edges of some leaves cup up (more obvious on the younger growth). The tips turn down. The leaves are held fairly erect.
