Growing Requirements
Prefers a well-lit situation offering the plant protection from the hot sun.
Characteristics
Immature plants are dark red. Depending on light conditions, as the plant ages the base colouring may change to mid green edged with red. In the cooler months the new growth is flushed with red. The petioles are marked with red. The margins of the medium to long rather narrow leaves are slightly to moderately undulated. The outer edges turn up. On some leaves, sections of both margins roll in towards the mid rib and may almost touch.
