Growing Requirements
Prefers a well-lit situation offering the plant bright light but protection from the hot sun.
Characteristics
Mid to dark green edged with dark red to purple. In the cooler months the new growth is flushed with shades of lilac to mauve. The colour deepens to a reddish purple as the leaves mature. The petioles are marked with purple to red. The margins of the medium size leaves are slightly to broadly undulated. The outer edges of some leaves turn up (more obvious on the newer growth). The tips usually turn down.
