Growing Requirements

Best colour is achieved when the plant is grown in full sun. In shady conditions the leaves lack the attractive red colouring.

Characteristics

Light to mid green heavily overlaid with a reddish orange (usually beginning at the mid section and continuing on towards the tips of the leaves). The petioles are marked with red. The margins of the rather narrow long leaves are broadly undulated. The foliage arches down in a manner similiar to a corn or maize plant.
