Growing Requirements

Will tolerate full sun but best results are obtained when the plant is given some protection.

Characteristics

In good light the colouring is mid to dark maroon finely edged with pink/red. There may be some pinkish red markings on the leaves. In the cooler months the new growth is flushed with mid pink. The petioles are marked with pink/red. The margins of the rather long narrow leaves are moderately undulated. The veining is quite prominent. The outer edges may turn up (more noticeable on the newer growth). The tips usually turn down. The foliage is held in an arching manner.
