Growing Requirements

Tolerates a lot of sun but best results are obtained when the plant is given some protection.

Characteristics

Light to mid green, marked with brownish red striping in the centre of the leaves. In the cooler months, the new growth is flushed white heavily marked with bright red. The reverse of the midrib is mainly red, extending down into the petioles and leaf bases which also have red striations. The margins of the medium size leaves are slightly to moderately undulated. The tips usually turn down. The younger growth is held fairly erect.
