Growing Requirements
Prefers a well-lit situation offering the plant some protection from the hot sun.
Characteristics
Shiny dark maroon edged with bright red. In the cooler months the new growth may be flushed with bright red. The petioles are marked with red. The leaves of young plants are quite narrow but become broader as the plant matures. The margins are slightly to moderately undulated. Sections of the outer edges often turn up but on other leaves they may turn down. The newer foliage is rather stiffly held.
