Characteristics

Dark green to red (more red in bright light), edged with bright pink/red. In the cooler months, the new growth is flushed with shades of soft pink. The colour darkens as the leaves mature. The petioles are marked with pink to redThe margins of the large leaves are slightly to broadly undulated. Sections of the outer edges of some of the newer leaves may roll up and in towards the midrib, while on others they may roll down. The tips of the older leaves turn down. The upper surface often has a crinkled appearance..
