Growing Requirements

Prefers a well-lit situation offering the plant some protection from the hot sun.

Characteristics

Dark green with dark red overtones. The margins are edged with red. In the cooler months the new growth is flushed with shades of mid to dark pink. The petioles are marked with dark red. The midrib is usually defined in dark redTThe margins of the large leaves are slightly to broadly undulated. It is not uncommon for sections of the outer edges to roll down. There is usually a considerable amount of crinkling on the upper surface of the leaves. The foliage is held in an arching manner.
