Growing Requirements

Prefers a well-lit situation offering the plant some protection from the hot sun.

Characteristics

Mid green/dark red, edged with red. In bright light, the leaves may be all dark red in colour. During the cooler months the new growth is flushed with shades of bright pink/red. The colour darkens as the leaves mature. The petioles are marked with red. The margins of the narrow, medium size leaves are heavily undulated. The outer edges may turn up slightly forming a vee. The tips of the leaves turn down. The foliage is very compact.
