Growing Requirements

Prefers a well-lit situation offering the plant protection from the hot sun.

Characteristics

Mid to dark green with red patches. The margins are marked with red. In the cooler months the new growth is flushed with shades of pink and reddish pink veins. The midrib is green. The pink colouring darkens as the leaves mature. The petioles are marked with red. The margins of the medium size leaves are moderately to broadly undulated. The outer edges of the newer growth may turn up or down. Sections of the outer edges, towards the tip of some older leaves, may roll down. The tips usually turn down. Very compact.
