Characteristics

Mid green heavily overlaid with bright rose pink. In the cooler months the new growth is flushed with shades soft pink which darkens as the leaves mature. The petioles are edged with pink. The margins of the medium size leaves are broadly undulated. The tips of the leaves often turn down. The texture of the leaves is rather thick.

History

The variety 'Brydan' sometimes appears from cane cuttings (a chimera*) of 'Pink Rose'.

*A chimera is a variety, produced from cane, which is different to the plant from which the cane was taken.
