[color=#008000]DOES ANY ONE USE A ROOTING HORMONE ON THERE TI CUTTINGS? I KNOW MOST DONT NEED IT BUT WOULD IT HELP SPEED THINGS UP OR HELP ON SLOWER GROWING TI?? ANY ONE GOT ANY INFO?? THANKS 4 THE HELP---->OLLIE [/color]

Hi Ollie, You don't have to dip cordyline cuttings in a rooting hormone. Some growers dip their cuttings in honey and I know of one grower in the tropics who paints the end of the cutting with a water based paint to reduce the risk of bacterial rot. I'm not aware that any method has a higher success rate. Re the black seedling you wanted identified .... I have seen a similar seedling which was produced from seed of a black kahili leafed cordyline which was imported from New Guinea. As far as I'm aware it hasn't been named or registered yet. As you are from USA it may have been produced from an imported plant and would be difficult to identify.
