Growing Requirements

Will tolerate a lot of sun but best results are obtained when the plant is given some protection.

Characteristics

Dark green to dark red edged pink to red. There may be some blackish shading near the midrib. In the cooler months the new growth is flushed with a bright reddish pink. The petioles are marked with pink. The margins of the medium size, almost round leaves, are slightly to moderately undulated. The outer edges turn up quite markedly. The tips of the newer growth also turn up. Texture is rather thick. Very Compact.

History

Has been sold in Australia as 'Blodwyn' and 'Hawaiian Sunset'. A very popular ti world-wide.
