Prefers a well-lit situation offering the plant protection from the hot sun.

Characteristics

Mid green edged with pink. In the cooler months the new growth is flushed with shades of pink. The colour darkens as the leaves mature. The petioles are marked with pinkThe margins of the medium size leaves are moderately undulated. The outer edges may cup up slightly. The leaves are rather thick in texture and are arranged in a compact whorl around the main stem.
