Growing Requirements

Will tolerate full sun but best results are obtained when the plant is given some protection.

Characteristics

Shiny maroon finely edged with burgundy red. In the cooler months the new growth is usually flushed with pink/red. The petioles are marked with red. The margins of the large leaves are slightly undulated. The outer edges may turn up (more obvious on the newer growth). The tips of youngest leaves at first turn up, then arch down as they age.

History

Some collectors have found this cultivar difficult to propagate.
