Will tolerate a lot of sun but best results are obtained when the plant is given some protection.

Characteristics

Mid green, variegated with lime green and heavily edged with bright pink. The petioles are marked with pink. The margins of the small to medium size leaves are moderately undulated. The tips usually turn down. Usually Bushy.

History

Under some tissue culture methods of propagation, many plants have been produced and sold which have the appearance of being part 'Kiwi' and part 'Carmen'. These plants are generally regarded as being 'Kiwi'. Once known as 'Blue Sapphire Diamond' in Thailand. It has also been marketed in Australia as 'Carbine'. 'Tricolour', 'Absolutely Fabulous' and 'Kiwi Pride'.
