Characteristics

Maroon edged with pink/red. In the cooler months the new growth may be flushed with pinkish red. The petioles are marked with pink/red. The margins of the large leaves are slightly to moderately undulated. The tips usually turn down.

History

Named by Mr. Miranda who saw the plant growing in his aunt's garden on the island of Kauai. The aunt had obtained the plant from a lady named Ella.
