Growing Requirements

Prefers a well-lit situation offering the plant protection from the hot sun.

Characteristics

Mid green edged with red. In the cooler months the colouring is mainly green while the new growth is flushed with a bright hot pink. During the growing season (the warmer months), the leaves are variegated with shades red, pink and green. The petioles are marked with pink/red. The margins of the medium size leaves are moderately to broadly undulated. The tips usually turn down.

History

Named by Charlene & Chris Trudgian (September 2006). A mutation developed during tissue cultrue of ‘Waihee Rainbow’.
