Growing Requirements

Prefers a well-lit situation offering the plant some protection from the hot sun.

Characteristics

Mid green with red overtones and finely edged with dark red. In the cooler months the upper surface of the new growth is flushed with shades of soft to mid pink. The reverse of the newer leaves is a bright dark pink. The colour darkens as the leaves mature. The petioles are marked with pink/red. The margins of the rather long leaves are moderately to broadly undulated. The outer edges of some leaves may cup up (more obvious on the newer growth), while sections of the margins of other leaves may roll down. The tips usually turn down.
